The Research Training Workshops were held on the 19th of March on Sunday at Main Campus and Gold Campus. The workshop aimed to provide essential skills and knowledge needed to conduct the research efficiently.

The workshop was attended by more than 200 research students/faculty/staff from various departments, including social sciences, health sciences, and natural sciences.

The following areas are covered;

1. Research databases Subscribed and open access

2. HEC Digital library

3. Google searching techniques, basic and advanced

4. Research topic selection

5. SIRC Website

Activities:

1. Introduction to Research Databases: including PubMed, Scopus, and Google Scholar.

2. Literature Searching Techniques: The participants were trained in effective literature-searching techniques, including Boolean operators, truncation, and phrase searching.

3. Organizing Research Materials: The participants were introduced to various reference management tools, including EndNote, Mendeley

Conclusion: In conclusion, the Research Databases and Literature Searching Workshop was a valuable learning experience for researchers. The workshop equipped the participants with the necessary tools to conduct effective literature searches, organize research materials, etc. I am thanking all the participants for their active participation, and special thanks to the management for organizing such a valuable academic event.
